One small idea inspired many big dreams - all sustained by a partnership with the community. Elevate Community Ministries began based on the needs in every community, including food, transportation, childcare, jobs, recovery, housing, and healthcare.

Who We Serve
The ministries of Elevate primarily target the A.L.I.C.E. population, defined by The United Way as Asset-Limited, Income-Constrained, Employed. These individuals are the working class - servers, gas station attendees, assistants, front desk clerks...etc. They are often living paycheck to paycheck, making between $30,000-$72,000, with every dollar accounted for. As of 2021, research concludes that 39% of Michigan residents are considered A.L.I.C.E. or below.
Government assistance programs, charities, and churches primarily target those living in poverty, only making up 13% of the population. That leaves 26% of the population being A.L.I.C.E. who are widely underserved and forgotten. There are over 10,000 households in the Midland community and 60,000 households in the surrounding Great Lakes Bay Region that struggle to provide the basic necessities of life and are often left making trade-offs.
Offering affordable solutions protects the dignity of the working class by providing opportunities for families to provide for themselves at a price they can afford.
